HOGIAF is the largest cross-cultural and multi-sectoral association for entrepreneurs in the Netherlands, with departments all around the country.
The main purpose of HOGIAF is to support entrepreneurs proactively in different fields of entrepreneurship.
The majority of our members are ethnic entrepreneurs. We strive to support our members in representing the entrepreneurs in the Netherlands while enhancing cross-cultural entrepreneurship.
History
HOGIAF was founded in 2006 by a group of entrepreneurs who wanted to join forces to invest in improving the quality and quantity of entrepreneurship and defending the interests of entrepreneurs.
After 10 years, the seven affiliated regional associations decided to join their forces under HOGIAF in 2016. The regional associations merged into HOGIAF, which led to a stronger organization that took a firmer position in the Dutch business environment.
This development made HOGIAF more effective and efficient in mapping the needs and challenges of entrepreneurs and more active in offering support to entrepreneurs and representing their interests.
HOGIAF encourages and motivates entrepreneurs to have social responsibility and ethical concerns, and supports discussing common problems an challenges with policy makers, with the ultimate aim of developing governmental policies in favor of entrepreneurs.
What does HOGIAF have to offer?
HOGIAF offers a complete package of services, which is beneficial to the growth of entrepreneurs and enterprises. The services of HOGIAF are devoted to three goals within the framework of corporate social responsibility.
We believe that the entrepreneurial success is not at the expense of the staff and the environment, while taking into account the people, the environment and the nature.
Cost reduction
An important goal of HOGIAF is to contribute to corporate cost reduction for business. HOGIAF is the founder of the SME Advantage Card (MKB Voordeelkaart), which offers cost reduction opportunities to entrepreneurs. We make exclusieve agreements with organizations on behalf of our member entrepreneurs for the sake of corporate cost reduction. The members of HOGIAF can take advantage of exclusive benefits dor dozens of products and services in different sectors by using the SME Advantage Card.
Increase in turnover
HOGIAF contributes to the increase in turnover by encouraging the members to professionalize and to internationalize. The HOGIAF Academy contributes to the professionalization of entrepreneurs by sharing knowledge, expertise and experience and by making them aware of the significant business opportunities. HOGIAF also offers a global network where entrepreneurs are supported and guided in the context of international business. This is done by organizing trade missions, one to one consulting and taking care of international requests.
Advocacy
HOGIAF protects and defends the interests of entrepreneurs on a local and national level. Regular working visits are made in collaboration with political authorities and other related organizations and institutions. The purpose of these visits are to determine the needs, challenges and problems of entrepreneurs, to fulfill the available potential for the Dutch economy, and to contribute to public policy development.
